Important information: Due to the corona virus pandemic the dates of the Lieksa Brass Week concerts will change. The paid tickets will be valid until 2021.   • You may pay with a credit card and pick up your tickets from the Lieksa Brass Week's office (opening time will be announced later) or from the concert venues 1 hour before the concert (no service charged).

Finnish-Japanese Euphoria Brass Sextet returns to Lieksa Brass Week to celebrate the 15 joyful years of playing together. The jubilee program is a compilation of euforic pieces from the past 15 years. EBS goes on without respecting musical border fences, celebrating togetherness and the sextet's signature klang.


Founded in 1990 The Hungarian Brass Quintet is a charismatic representavive of Hungarian brass culture. The quintet toured regularly in Europe, Asia and USA and recorded several CDs and radio recordings. More than 50 works were written by Hungarian composers for the band members.

The final placement of the competitors will be determined by the Horn Concerto No. 2 of Richard Strauss. The final is accompanied by Joensuu City Orchestra, conducted by József Hárs. Prior to the jury's decision Joensuu City Orchestra will play the first symphony of Ludwig van Beethoven.
